It is a highland grower with its range extending along the southernmost parts of the Barisan Range all the way down to the southern tip of Sumatra

This cross is very fast growing (even for ventricosa standards) and plants in our lowland

Though the parents are both warm growers, this clone (BE 3737) was chosen amongst thousands of other siblings in the Borneo Exotics breeding program for its vigor and temperature tolerance.
